The ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ College Fencing Club recently celebrated the conclusion of its inaugural year by competing in an intercollegiate meet at Kutztown University on Friday, April 10. Hosted by the Kutztown University Fencing Club, the two clubs shared lessons, practiced, and enjoyed an informal tournament, with winners in their categories from both ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ and Kutztown.
Dr. Steve Howell is the head coach and faculty adviser of the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ club and formerly was the head coach of the Kutztown University Fencing Club as well.
Students, faculty, or staff interested in joining the ÌÇÐÄ´«Ã½ Fencing Club next semester should contact Dr. Howell. A six-day evening course in Foil Fencing is also being taught by Dr. Howell during May Intersession and anyone may enroll.
