The economic diversity category is an indicator of the proportion of low-income students served by a college or university, as defined by the students who received federal Pell grants. It is considered a gauge of a college鈥檚 commitment to provide access to students from a variety of economic backgrounds. The social mobility category measures graduation rates of these students.
