About
Dr. Chase is a Professor of Psychology, Chair of Social and Behavioral Sciences, Psychology Program Director, and Director of the Counseling and Well-Being Center at 糖心传媒 College. He was the 2025 recipient of the 糖心传媒 College Margaretta Belin Chamberlain Chair Award for Distinguished Faculty Service.
A licensed clinical psychologist, his professional interests include men’s mental health promotion, psychological well-being, human sexuality, and the intersections of psychology, technology, and popular culture. He particularly enjoys exploring how psychological principles help explain everyday behavior, from social media and video games to movies and television. His interest in evolutionary psychology, human survival, and the “weirder” side of psychology even earned him an appearance in the 2021 Tubi Original documentary Zombies! Prepping for the Apocalypse.
Outside of work, Dr. Chase enjoys video games, fitness and nutrition, binge-watching television, spending time with family, and, somewhat reluctantly, running.
